"I do. You were being an idiot, as usual..." He teased, smirking as he took
the joint back again, biting his lip as he remembered. He took another
drag, inhaling slowly. "We were out in the woods and I was climbing up a
tree. You got mad because you couldn't reach any of the lower limbs so you
ran ahead and started climbing a tree you could reach. The limbs were
weaker because they were so much smaller and one snapped..."
He turned away as he exhaled, ashing into an empty can on his bedside
table. "You fell and hit your head on a rock. I ran up just in time to see
it. Thought you'd killed yourself and started freaking out. I carried you
all the way back to the house and yelled for mom." He reminded her, turning
back and looking at her before shrugging. "Your knight in shining armor, as
always." He laughed.
"The fact that I hit my head is probably why I don't remember what happened." Ruby laughs, shaking her head causing his palm to brush over her cheek. She can't remember the last time she tried climbing a tree -probably with Ben before he went away for school- when her whole life had changed.
"Shotgun me?" And if it's just an excuse to have his lips one her's, then she's no saying so.
He hummed, chuckling softly. "Probably." He said before she asked and then
he nodded, taking a long drag and filling his lungs before leaning in close
and slotting his lips over hers so he could share the smoke with her.
He pulled back after a few minutes, exhaling the rest of the way before
laying back and putting the rest of the joint out, feeling plenty relaxed.
He stretched out, pillowing his head on his hands while staring up at the
ceiling. "This is weird." He said after a few minutes. "Its weird.
I....fuck I'm too high for this." He smiled and laughed.
His lips are as soft as she imagined and she inhales the smoke easily, trying not to let herself get distracted by the feel of his lips on her's. She holds the smoke in her lungs for a long moment before exhaling it through her nose.
When he stretches out, Ruby follows suit, stretching out and resting her head on his shoulder.
The feel of her head on his shoulder is nice. He kind of just wanted to
wrap his arm around her and pull her closer but he knew he really shouldn't.
"This?" He said, slowly looking down at her and laughing again. "You...were
one of my best friends growing up. My best...um...not trying to be
insensitive, you know that. But my best guy friends, but you're not a guy,
you're a girl and you're fucking hot and...I've been fucking hard since we
came upstairs and now you're in my bed." He said, shaking his head and
looking back up at the ceiling.
Ruby shifts so that she can look up at him, her chin resting on his chest and she all but melts into the bed. The shirt has ridden up and her ass is exposed but she's too high to care about that right now.
Especially now, in the face of his admission.
"I know. You... You gave me the freedom to me and that played a huge part in me being able to realise who I really am, Ben. We were always going to end up here. In this moment, in this place. I believe that." She smiles softly before leaning in to press her lips to his in a soft kiss. "Also? You're not the only one who's hard. Have you seen you?"
When he felt her looking up at him he lifted his head so he could look at
her, blinking as she spoke and feeling his eyebrows lift in surprise. Then
he felt her lips against his own and his eyes slipped shut and he kissed
her back. His hand moved from behind his own head to wrap around her back,
pressing against the small of her back first before finding her newly
exposed ass.
He made a sound at that, smiling against her lips when he felt it. "Hmmm I
have seen me, but I might need you to elaborate on that just a little bit."
He teased, chuckling softly before kissing her again, finding that he

He stared up at her, playfully nipping at her fingertips before nodding and
just pulling her close. "I missed you too. Guess we'll just have to make up
for years of lost time. Hope you haven't changed too much." He teased,
turning his head and pressing his face against her temple and into her
hair. "Except maybe a little older. Same interests at least." He laughed at
that, just holding her.
They'd both loved video games and reading and could spend hours together
doing absolutely nothing or anything. They were both just happy to spend
time together. Their families were just happy they had one another. They
would watch movies and TV, always seeming to love exactly the same things.

down, head pressing back against his pillows while his hands squeezed her

Then he reached higher, slipping a hand around the back of her neck and

kiss. Once the kiss broke he smiled, their lips just barely brushing when
he spoke. "I want you, Ruby. Stay the night tonight."
Ruby cups her hands around Ben's and encourages him to squeeze while she rolls her whole body in a slow grind against him once more. "You were definitely mine." His hands cover her whole breast and she sighs softly, enjoying the touch.
