He reached out to take her hand before his eyes fell on the ring and he immediately frowned when he saw it. "Wait just a damn minute. Where did you get this crystal? I would know this kyber crystal anywhere. I gave it to my friend Elijah..." He hissed as he squeezed her hand slightly, his eyes lifting to really studying her face.

And while yes there were quite a few differences due to surgeries...he couldn't believe he had missed it before. He blinked after several moments, the suspicion leaving in moments and being replaced by shock as his jaw dropped. He licked his lips, eyes looking her over once again before lifting to her face as he just blurted out after a minute of staring at her. "Holy shit, you got fucking hot though!"

He didn't care who heard or how they reacted. He knew this party was for his mother after all and he knew that her image would suffer, too much at least.
