Ruby hadn't been to one of these events since she was a kid and back then, she'd been a quiet little boy who'd avoided eye contact and hidden out with her friend in the back, away from everyone else.
Now though, she stood at the bar, dressed to the nines and wearing the necklace that had been a gift from Senator Organa for her 21st birthday. Her pink hair was pulled up into an over the top up do and honestly, she was probably the best dressed person here, the Senator herself the only person coming close.
Sipping an espresso martini, Ruby surveys the room. She recognises many of the people here but she has no desire to talk to any of them, which was no surprise. She almost regretted coming at all.
At least, until she was approached by a familiar face that had only gotten more handsome since the last time she'd seen him. She's about to say something before he speaks and instead she just smiles and listens.
